Start here
What are you seeing?
Tell me where the water shows up and when. That usually tells me where to start looking.
- Water stain on a ceiling or wall
- A drip under the sink or behind the toilet
- Water bill went up with nothing changed
- Low water pressure in one fixture
- Green or white crust on a pipe joint
- You hear running water with everything off
I find it before I open anything up.
I’ll check the fixtures, the shutoffs, and the runs I can reach first. A lot of leaks turn out to be a valve, a supply line, or a bad joint — not a pipe inside the wall.
If I do need to open a wall or ceiling, I’ll tell you before I do it, and I’ll show you what’s behind there when it’s open.
Copper, brass, cast iron, old galvanized — I work on what Brooklyn buildings actually have.

Pricing and repairs
I’ll tell you what it costs before I touch it.
The price depends on where the leak is, how hard it is to reach, and what has to be replaced. The estimate is free. If I come out to diagnose it, that service call comes off the repair.
I won’t tell you to repipe the whole place if one section is the problem. If a full run really is shot, I’ll show you why.
